Type of play
- Must-hit-by progressive hunting (3 separate progressives on the same game): Hot, Sizzling, Red Hot.
- Advantage comes from playing only when the progressive meters are close enough to their guaranteed “must hit by” ceilings that the remaining gap is small.
What to look for (on the casino floor)
- Identify the three meters and their ceilings:
- Hot must hit by $50
- Sizzling must hit by $200
- Red Hot must hit by $1,000
- Your edge increases as each meter approaches its ceiling. The “seat value” is essentially how close the meter is to the must-hit number.
- Check every denomination available; the best opportunity may be on a different denom than you expect.
