Type of play
- Persistent-state / must-hit-style scouting play (locked symbols persist and indicate the game is in a better state than a fresh reset).
What to look for
- The game has a “locked” board state where one or more symbols are visibly locked in place.
- The cabinet/board “changes character” when locks are present, and there’s a distinct audible cue when it enters/has the locked state.
- Priority visual trigger: at least one locked symbol on reels 1–3.
- Secondary visual trigger (exception rule): reels 4–5 together showing 4+ locked symbols can be worth playing even if reels 1–3 don’t have a lock.
