Type of play (what the edge is)
- Must-hit-by (MHB) progressive “wilds” meters. Wilds accumulate on visible counters and are guaranteed to award by fixed numbers. You’re buying spins when the meter is high enough that the remaining “chase” to the guaranteed hit is +EV.
What to look for (meters and where)
1) Blue wilds (base game)
- Collected in base game; counter is above the middle reel (not shown on the bet pad like the others).
- Resets to 5, must hit by 50 (can hit early; hit chance increases as it climbs).
- In practice it’s uncommon to see very high numbers; still, you’re looking for elevated counts.
2) Purple/Green/Yellow wilds (free games feature)
- These are awarded during a 10-free-games feature.
- The free games can trigger randomly, but are guaranteed to trigger by the MHB numbers:
- Purple (Minor): resets 30, must hit by 75
- Green (Major): resets 40, must hit by 100
- Yellow (Mega): resets 50, must hit by 125
