8/6 Jacks or Better (98.3917% “exceptionless” strategy) — practical floor guide
Rule: For every hand, find all reasonable holds and choose the highest item on this priority list. If a hand qualifies for multiple items, always take the one listed first.
Paytable check (must be 8/6): Full House pays 8, Flush pays 6. If not, don’t use this exact priority.
Priority hold list (highest to lowest)
1) Full House or better
What to look for: Any made hand ≥ Full House (Full House, Quads, Straight Flush, Royal).
Play: Hold all 5.
2) 4 to a Royal Flush
Look for: Any 4 cards to a royal in the same suit (TJQK, TJQA, TQKA, JQKA, etc. suited).
Play: Hold the 4, draw 1.
